The supply hose can be of nearly any length. The exception is that it can supply water steadily so it does not run your pump dry. If you are using city water you should not have an issue. However you should still check and assure it can product 5 + GPM . That said, Electrical cord length DOES play a role in the operation of you unit. Your unit will not work properly if you over extend it with an extension cord.
