Yes, you can use a uberflex hose. At 50' feet you should see little lag, and little PSI drop.
Anything longer you "could experience all or some of these" ailments happen.
Increased Lag Time, machine turning off.
Increased Lag time, to machine turning on.

Yes, a more rigid hose does "help" with these ailments, but you cannot get away from the PSI drop.
