You can definitely choose your own hose, and a 3/8" hose will work just fine. However, it’s important to note that the type of hose you use can affect both the pressure and the response time of the Total Stop System (TSS) on your gun.
At a length of 50 feet, you likely won’t notice much difference. But with longer lengths, especially when using a soft, flexible hose, the pressure in the hose needs to build up before the TSS can stop the machine. This might result in a delay of a few seconds before your machine stops running after you release the trigger.
